City of Shattered Lights, 03

In the heart of the Fractured City, dawn rose like a broken mirror.
Every tower shimmered in shards of color, as if built from memories rather than stone.
Along the crowded avenue, people whispered that the city was alive —
not with machines, but with the dreams of everyone who entered it.
The neon panels flickered, rearranging themselves,
revealing fragments of forgotten moments:
a smile, a lost letter, an unanswered call.
Cars flowed like silver insects, trapped in the city’s luminous maze.
Above them, advertisements pulsed with cryptic symbols,
as though sending a message only the brave could decipher.
Mira walked the central street, drawn by a glow she could not explain.
Some said the city chose those it wanted to reveal its secrets to.
Tonight, the lights brightened as she passed,
guiding her toward a hidden corner of the skyline.
There, reflected in a prism of orange glass,
she finally saw it —
a door that hadn’t been there before,
opening into the unknown heart of the city.
