Pigeon Point Light Station or Lighthouse is a lighthouse built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific coast of California. It is one of the tallest lighthouses on the West Coast in the United States. It is still active and is a guard of the Coast Guard Coast Guard for navigation. Pigeon Point Light Station is located on the coastal highway (State Route 1), 5 miles (8 km) south of Pescadero in California, between Santa Cruz and San Francisco. It is a 35 m tall white lighthouse, and its structure is typically New England. Thanks to its location and ease of access, Pigeon Point is one of the most visited lighthouses on the entire coast. Pigeon Point Lighthouse is one of the most picturesque lighthouses on the entire Pacific coast.
